Alpedrete Dresses Up for its III April Fair with Music, Dance, and Andalusian Tradition

Alpedrete's Plaza de la Villa will host a program full of flamenco performances, a 'rociero' choir, and horse-drawn carriage rides on April 25 and 26.

Alpedrete is preparing to host the third edition of its April Fair, transforming the Plaza de la Villa into an Andalusian corner with an extensive program of cultural and leisure activities on April 25 and 26.

The event, which aims to recreate the essence of the traditional Sevillian fair, will offer attendees a varied agenda including live music and dance performances, the participation of a 'rociero' choir, and the opportunity to enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides through the municipality's streets. Local establishments will join the celebration with food and drink offerings, and commemorative gifts will be given to participants.
The fair will kick off on Saturday, April 25, at 12:00 PM, with a performance by the Sevillanas and flamenco workshop from the Los Canteros de Alpedrete senior center. Throughout the day, the Plaza de la Villa stage will host various presentations, such as the Coro Los Jaralillos at 1:00 PM and the Grupo Galima at 2:00 PM. In the afternoon, the Municipal Dance School of Becerril de la Sierra will perform at 4:00 PM, followed by music from Gema Gallardo at 7:30 PM and Maribel Romero at 9:30 PM, with ambient music until the end of the day.
On Sunday, April 26, activities will begin at 12:00 PM with a performance by the Duende de Collado Villalba Dance School. At 1:00 PM, there will be a raffle for three 'batas rocieras', and at 1:30 PM, the Grupo D'Jaleo will offer a show of flamenco, rumba, and Latin rhythms. The day will conclude with music until 5:30 PM, marking the end of the festivities. Horse-drawn carriage rides will be available both days, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
As a complementary activity, on Friday, April 24, the Los Canteros senior center will organize a special party for the town's seniors starting at 7:00 PM, featuring music, a festive atmosphere, and food.
