The march, which brought together around 500 people including educators, families, and residents, covered the route from Plaza de Colón to Plaza del Ayuntamiento. During the procession, slogans were chanted emphasizing the importance of early childhood schools as the first stage of the educational system, crucial for the emotional, cognitive, and social development of children.

The mobilization culminated in Plaza del Ayuntamiento with the reading of a manifesto. In this document, prepared by early childhood school workers, the progressive deterioration of the sector and the physical and emotional toll faced daily by professionals to maintain quality care were denounced.
The manifesto highlighted that the 0-3 age stage is fundamental for brain and emotional development, stressing that “every routine, every moment of the day, has an educational purpose.” Professionals emphasized that current conditions prevent them from offering the support and quality care that children deserve.

The collective also called on administrations to show a real commitment to early childhood education, requesting measures that ensure adequate care for children, as well as fair working conditions for those who work in this fundamental educational stage. The day concluded with children participating in the creation of a protest mural, symbolizing the unity between professionals, families, and children in defense of quality public education.
