During the 2025/2026 academic year, the UNED Associated Center in Collado Villalba expanded its educational offerings for individuals over 55 with two new UNED Senior courses: Introduction to Philosophy and Oratory and Debate. These university extension activities were complemented by an oratory cycle held in two sessions on May 7th and 14th.
The in-person classes for UNED Senior have run from October to May, taking place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during two time slots: from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM and from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. The sessions were held at the UNED Madrid Associated Center in Collado Villalba, located at the Centro Cultural Peñalba.
Looking ahead to the next academic year, the possibility of expanding the educational offerings for this significant demographic is under consideration, aiming to meet the growing demand for continuous learning among the municipality's older residents.
