As part of the activities scheduled for Senior Week, which runs until Sunday, May 17, the Majadahonda City Council has organized a photographic scavenger hunt. This initiative, one of this year's novelties, aims for participants to explore the city with their cameras, following clues that will guide them through strategic points.
The activity, aimed at residents of Majadahonda over 60 years old who are not actively employed, does not require prior photography experience. It will start at 10:00 AM at the Senior Center and conclude at the same location at 1:00 PM. Participants can take photos anywhere along the route, using any type of camera or mobile device.
“"The objective of this scavenger hunt is for participants, in addition to enjoying a heart-healthy walk, to convey their vision of the city through their photographs and share it with everyone."
Each participant may submit up to three photographs in JPEG format, with a maximum size of 5 Mb, which must be sent by email before midnight on Tuesday, May 12. Basic adjustments to light, color, or framing are allowed, but extreme edits, montages, or the use of artificial intelligence are not. Those who need assistance with submission can request it at the Senior Center from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
All submitted photographs will be displayed at the Municipal Center's digital point. A committee, composed of photography workshop teachers from the center and a guest professional, will evaluate the originality, detail, and personal perspective of the images. Three winners will be selected, who will receive a diploma and a framed enlargement of their photograph during the closing ceremony of Senior Week, held on Sunday, May 17 at 7:30 PM.
