The work will focus on the most deteriorated section of this road, covering an approximate length of 675 meters, from number 1 to Ceuta street. The main objective is to improve road mobility and safety.
The works include repairing the existing pavement, renewing the asphalt surface layer over approximately 5,000 square meters, repainting road markings, reconfiguring tree pits, and paving the northern sidewalk between Ceuta and Melilla streets. New speed bumps will also be installed.
This intervention is the second improvement phase on this road during the current term. In 2024, the City Council already invested over €250,000, funded by the Community of Madrid's Regional Investment Plan, in the renovation and expansion of the section between Jadraque street and Camino de los Afligidos.
Previous works included widening the street to enhance safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles, and replacing the current asphalt surface with concrete paving stones.
