The Majadahonda City Council is holding a double plenary session this Wednesday, April 29, 2026, to discuss the 2025 budget settlement, 2026 credit modifications, and the approval of three key urban developments for local expansion.

The first session, starting at 8:00 AM in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall, will focus on the debate regarding the settlement of the 2025 budget for the Majadahonda City Council and Monte del Pilar, as well as credit modifications made during 2026. These points are crucial for the municipality's economic and financial management.
From 10:00 AM, the second plenary session will address the approval of three important urban developments. These include the “Huerto del Parrito” and “Valles de la Mina” projects in the Arco del Poniente area, in addition to Partial Plan I-4 of Development Area No. 18, known as “Carril del Tejar,” located next to the Gran Plaza shopping center. This latter plan involves the sale of municipal land for the establishment of new businesses, which could boost local economic activity.
Following the debates on economic and urban issues, motions from the municipal groups will be presented. The agenda includes four local motions, two national, and one regional. Subsequently, there will be a round of questions and answers, first for councilors and then for residents, who were required to submit their questions at least 24 hours in advance through the Municipal Registry.
Among the local motions, the Vecinos por Majadahonda municipal group proposes that the current Social Security building become the second municipal library and requests neutrality in the city council's communication. The Vox group demands a comprehensive plan for sports infrastructure and the duplication of the road from Majadahonda to Pozuelo. For its part, the Socialist group proposes the creation of a large green belt with a bike path and recreational areas, as well as improvements in the surveillance and maintenance of the municipality's natural paths and protected areas.
At the regional level, the Socialist and Más Madrid-IU groups call for clarification of the events that occurred in the residences of the Community of Madrid, demanding investigation and justice to ensure non-repetition and improve care for the elderly. National motions include one from the Popular municipal group regarding the massive regularization of immigrants approved by the Government of Spain, and another from Más Madrid-IU to facilitate administrative regularization processes for migrants in Majadahonda, as well as support for early childhood education workers.
