The players, coaching staff, and directors of CF Rayo Majadahonda arrived at Plaza de los Jardinillos, escorted by the Local Police, where they were greeted by a large group of fans. From there, they walked to the Church of Santa Catalina.
At the church, the parish priest welcomed the team, who presented a wreath of flowers in the club's colors to the Virgin and Christ, and placed the Championship Cup won in the 2025-26 league. Afterwards, the delegation moved to the plenary hall of the Majadahonda Town Hall.
At the Town Hall, the mayor and several councilors received the players and directors. The mayor announced that the Rayo Majadahonda Football Club will be the town crier for the 2026 Patron Saint Festivities in September. The club president indicated they would request more support from the Town Hall for the 2026-27 season, referring to improvements at the Cerro del Espino stadium, a popular demand among fans.
“"All 25 councilors have been invited to this event, and therefore all of them represented the corporation at the event."
After the institutional act, everyone went to the Plaza Mayor and Gran Vía for the traditional photograph with the facade of the Town Hall in the background. There, over 300 fans waited to cheer on their idols and take photos with the Cup, which was lifted by the club's CEO alongside the mayor.
The official statement from the Town Hall regarding the event omitted the presence of opposition municipal groups, «Vecinos por Majadahonda» and Vox, focusing on the participation of the mayor and the players. The club, celebrating its 50th anniversary, will return to Primera Federación, the third tier of Spanish football, two seasons later.
