The municipal plan for the conservation and modernization of public schools and early childhood education centers in Colmenar Viejo focuses this summer on five educational facilities. The total investment amounts to 609,502.18 euros, dedicated to improving accessibility, safety, energy efficiency, and the overall condition of the facilities before the start of the next school year.
These actions are distributed among two early childhood education centers, two Infant and Primary Education schools, and one public special education center. The City Council highlights that the investment in this educational area approaches two million euros over the last three years.
At the Casita de Niños Early Childhood Center, interior doors and pavements are being renovated with an investment of 94,350.77 euros. The Los Enebros Early Childhood Center is replacing doors and windows to improve the building's energy efficiency and constructing a new porch, with a budget of 116,784.59 euros.
The Tirso de Molina Public School is renovating its outdoor spaces to enhance accessibility and safety, with an investment of 143,061.97 euros. Meanwhile, the Ángel León Public School is improving its rainwater drainage system for 136,907.74 euros.
The Miguel Hernández Public Special Education Center is expanding and adapting its access points for people with reduced mobility, with an intervention costing 118,397.11 euros. The City Council emphasizes that these works aim to improve conditions for students, teachers, and families.
In addition to these investments, an annual maintenance contract for public educational centers is included, funded with 375,000 euros, to address needs that may arise during the school year.
