The Majadahonda City Council has received official authorization as an Employment Agency since April 22, enabling it to enhance employment services and improve job placement in the municipality.

This initiative, promoted by the Department of Economic Development, Employment, and Commerce, aims to support unemployed individuals in their job search and assist companies in their recruitment processes. The measure integrates the council into the national network coordinated by the State Public Employment Service (SEPE).
Employment Agencies, regulated by Royal Decree 1796/2010, are entities that facilitate job placement by assessing profiles and aptitudes. They can offer guidance, professional information, and personnel selection services.
From now on, the City Council will be able to advise companies on their hiring processes and improve the employability of job seekers through training workshops, CV reviews, and interview preparation, all with the goal of accelerating job integration and adapting professional profiles to current market demands.
This action reinforces the City Council's commitment to employment in a municipality that already boasts one of the lowest unemployment rates in the region. Last March, the estimated unemployment rate in Majadahonda was 4.28%, significantly lower than the 7.04% of the Community of Madrid and the 9.93% national average.
Unemployment figures in Majadahonda have set historical records since 2006, with a continuing downward trend: 4.52% in 2024, 4.34% in 2025, and a continuation of this improvement so far in 2026.
