The economy of Majadahonda shows remarkable dynamism with the arrival of new companies and the expansion of established ones, while the local rental market records a decrease, according to recent data.

The Madrid town of Majadahonda is consolidating its position as a key location for investment and business development. Despite the international context, the local economy remains active, attracting various companies looking to expand their presence in the Community of Madrid.
Among the new developments, the Chinese automotive brand Geely has begun its establishment in El Carralero, through Spanish dealerships, as part of its expansion strategy in Spain. This opening adds to other sales and service points in Alcorcón and Leganés, driven by groups like Gamboa.
The gastronomy sector is also strengthening with the arrival of the Basque group Ñam, which has debuted in Majadahonda. The company, based in San Sebastián, plans to open three restaurants in Madrid before summer, including locations in Leganés and the Plenilunio shopping center.
Additionally, the donut chain Krispy Kreme continues its expansion in Spain with the opening of a new store in the Gran Plaza 2 shopping center in Majadahonda. The American brand expects to reach 50 locations in the country within the next four years, with new openings in Madrid capital and other shopping centers.
In the wellness sector, the gym chain Dreamfit has inaugurated its 25th club in Hospitalet and has confirmed three new openings, one of them in Majadahonda, in addition to Córdoba and Coslada. The company is committed to large-format facilities and advanced technology, maintaining competitive prices.
On the other hand, the rental market in Majadahonda has experienced an 11.3% decrease in the last year, according to the Fotocasa Real Estate Index. This drop contrasts with the general increase in other Madrid municipalities, offering some relief to tenants in the area.
Finally, a curious image that recalls the town's roots is the occasional presence of sheep herds passing through the center of Majadahonda. This scene, linked to transhumance and the area's nature, highlights the municipality's agricultural tradition.
