The Plaza de La Caldereta in Hoyo de Manzanares will host this Sunday, September 20, the fourteenth edition of the traveling market 'La Despensa de Madrid'.

The initiative, promoted by the Community of Madrid in collaboration with the Hoyo de Manzanares City Council, is part of a tour covering 20 municipalities in the region. Visitors will be able to purchase a wide range of Madrid's agri-food products directly from producers, including meat, beer, olives, cheese, wine, and honey, with a significant representation of organic produce.
The main objective of 'La Despensa de Madrid' is to showcase the diversity of foods grown and produced in the Community of Madrid, thereby encouraging citizens to consume local products.
Purchasing local products helps to boost the economies of rural areas in Madrid and create sustainable jobs, supporting rural development.
To promote regional foods, the Community of Madrid launched the quality brand 'M Producto Certificado' in 2014. Currently, 504 companies and approximately 4,500 products bear this quality seal.
