This competition is open to participants over 18 years old from any nationality, who may submit a single original and unpublished poem in Spanish. Works must be between 5 and 20 verses long and must not have been previously awarded. The deadline for submitting entries is September 15th, and the jury's decision will be announced on November 11th, coinciding with Bookstore Day.
The jury will consist of prominent literary figures: Adelaida Porras-Medrano, poet and narrative writer, Doctor of French Philology; Juan Van-Halen Acedo, writer, journalist, and historian; and Eugenio Rivera Claudio, director of the digital magazine Entreletras, writer, illustrator, and film critic.
One main prize and three honorable mentions will be awarded. The winning poem and those receiving honorable mentions will be published in the municipal magazine of Torrelodones, in addition to receiving a trophy and a certificate.

Torrelodones boasts a rich literary heritage, having been home or a source of inspiration for figures such as Ernest Hemingway, André Malraux, and John Dos Passos, among others. Currently, the town hosts a vibrant community of contemporary authors, who were honored last year coinciding with the establishment of the «Circle of Writers of Torrelodones».
