The Hoyo de Manzanares City Council has introduced the eAgora mobile application, a tool designed to modernize municipal management and provide residents with easy access to public services from their devices.

The new application, named eAgora, aims to optimize communication between the local administration and residents. It allows users to access the City Council's activity agenda, receive updated information, report incidents directly to relevant departments, and carry out various municipal procedures from their phones.

"It's the City Council in one click. From your mobile phone, you can report anything from an incident, like a mattress improperly discarded in a street or a fallen traffic sign, to paying your IBI or vehicle tax via Bizum… ultimately, it's a total connection with all City Council services. In the end, what we are doing is implementing the same relationship that citizens currently have with any other service."

The implementation of eAgora will occur in two phases. The first, currently underway, integrates everyday functionalities to facilitate resident access. A second, more ambitious phase, scheduled for October, will incorporate advanced services such as ticket reservations for events.
This initiative is part of a regional digitalization project promoted by the Community of Madrid and has already been adopted in other Northwest localities, including Galapagar, Collado Villalba, and Valdemorillo. The tool has proven effective in improving communication, reducing response times, and optimizing incident management in other municipalities.
