Collado Villalba kicks off the summer season this weekend with a diverse program including the Giant Flea Market, a tapas route, the 'La Noche en Vela' event, and a screening of the Spanish National Football team's match.

Los Belgas square will be the center of the celebrations throughout Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday. It will host the Rastro Gigante de la Sierra (Giant Flea Market of the Sierra), a market with over 100 stalls offering crafts, collectibles, and antiques, extended for the first time to three days. Concurrently, the ‘Mahou en Ruta’ initiative will involve a dozen local hospitality establishments presenting their gastronomic offerings.
On Saturday, Los Belgas square will transform to host ‘La Noche en Vela’ (The Night in Candlelight), an event starting at dusk that will fill the space with the light of hundreds of candles and torches until the early hours. Attendees can participate in the traditional Caldero de Los Deseos (Cauldron of Wishes) to burn away their past troubles.
Meanwhile, the streets of Villalba Pueblo will be the setting for a new edition of Coralba, the open-air choral music festival celebrating its fifth year. The event, starting at 8:00 PM to avoid the midday heat, will bring together 24 groups and over 700 singers in various emblematic locations such as the church of Nuestra Señora del Enebral and the Ayuntamiento (City Hall) square, where a joint performance is anticipated.
Coralba's performances will span diverse styles including classical choral music, pop, rock, gospel, jazz, folklore, soundtracks, and musicals. The close proximity between performers and the audience is a key attraction, turning the old town into a space for coexistence and cultural participation. Entry to all performances is free.
Additionally, the Estación square will be equipped with a large screen to follow live the match of the Spanish National Football team against Saudi Arabia, coinciding with the official start of summer.
The tapas route of ‘Mahou en Ruta’ will feature ten tastings from local restaurants. Live performances at Los Belgas are scheduled for Friday the 19th from 8:00 PM, Saturday the 20th at 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM, and Sunday the 21st from 2:00 PM onwards.
