Collado Villalba Hosts Quique Blas Memorial and Martín Soria Tribute Volleyball Tournament

The Quique Blas Pavilion will be the venue for the twentieth edition of the tournament and the forty-second tribute to Martín Soria.

This Sunday, April 19, the Quique Blas Pavilion in Collado Villalba will host the XX Quique Blas Memorial and the XLII Martín Soria Tribute, honoring two pivotal figures in the development of local volleyball.

The Sports Department of the Collado Villalba City Council, in collaboration with the Collado Villalba Volleyball Club, the Collado Villalba Volleyball Veterans Association, and the Madrid Volleyball Federation, is organizing this sporting event, which has become an essential fixture in the local calendar.
The day's sports activities will commence at 10:00 AM with a mixed teams match. Subsequently, at 11:15 AM, the women's veterans category match will take place. The tournament will conclude at 12:30 PM with a men's veterans showdown.
This event is significant not only for its competitive aspect but also for its profound historical meaning. It pays homage to Martín Soria and Quique Blas, who were instrumental in establishing and growing volleyball in Collado Villalba, laying the groundwork for its current success.
