The Pozuelo de Alarcón City Council has opened a new call for financial aid for families due to birth, adoption, or fostering, ranging from 1,500 to 2,700 euros, aiming to support birth rates in the municipality.

These subsidies are intended for families with minors born, adopted, or fostered in the municipality, and will be distributed in three application periods, depending on the date the event occurred. The first period runs from May 18 to 29 for cases that occurred between September 1 and December 31, 2025.
For minors born, adopted, or fostered between January 1 and April 30, 2026, the application period will be from June 1 to 12. Finally, those who do so between May 1 and August 31 will have the first fortnight of September to submit their application.

"This measure reflects its commitment to families and support for birth rates."

As a novelty in this call, both parents are required to be registered in Pozuelo de Alarcón with a minimum residency of two years immediately prior to the date of birth, adoption, or fostering. Additionally, applicants must be up to date with payments to the State Tax Administration Agency, Social Security, and the City Council before the application deadline.
The base amount of 1,500 euros can be increased depending on family circumstances. If the minor is the second child, the aid increases by 100 euros; if it is the third or subsequent, the increase is 200 euros. Minors with a disability equal to or greater than 33% will receive an additional increase of 500 euros, reaching a maximum of 2,700 euros.
The Consistory has also provided for the possibility that those who already received aid in previous calls may submit subsequent documentation proving the minor's disability to qualify for the additional 500 euros. Likewise, it allows for the reopening of applications from the last call that were resolved as withdrawn. All information and access to processing are available on the municipal website and at the Citizen Service Offices.
