Tres Cantos Strengthens Local Police with 13 New Officers

The officers have completed a 786-hour training course and join the municipal force, placing the town among those with the most additions in this promotion.

Tres Cantos has welcomed 13 new Local Police officers following the completion of their basic training, a 786-hour course provided by the Community of Madrid.

The addition of these 13 officers places Tres Cantos among the Madrid municipalities with the most new recruits in this promotion. In total, 191 police officers from various towns in the Community of Madrid finished the 62nd Basic Training Selective Course for new Local Police recruits.
The diploma award ceremony took place at the Institute for Integral Training in Security and Emergencies (IFISE), presided over by the Minister of Environment, Agriculture, and Interior of the Community of Madrid, Carlos Novillo. The event was also attended by the mayor of Tres Cantos, Jesús Moreno, and the first deputy mayor and councilor for Security, Javier Juárez.
The new officers have successfully completed a training program comprising 786 academic hours. Of the 191 officers who finished the course, 141 are men and 50 are women. Following this training, they will begin their duties in different municipalities within the Community of Madrid, aiming to enhance citizen security.
With these 13 new additions, Tres Cantos ranks favorably compared to other towns. Alcobendas and Fuenlabrada lead the list with 32 officers each, followed by Parla with 16, and Tres Cantos and San Martín de la Vega with 12 officers.
