The Tres Cantos City Council has formalized the renewal of its agreement with the Association in Favor of People with Disabilities of Tres Cantos (AMI-3), securing a 60,000 euro investment to maintain essential support programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families until June 2026.

This agreement reinforces the municipal commitment to inclusion and the well-being of this group. The signing ceremony was attended by prominent figures such as the mayor, Jesús Moreno; the councilor for Family and Equality, Sonia Lolo; the president of AMI-3, Gregorio Martín; the entity's manager, Javier Paz; and user Cristina Vicario.

The service will continue to be available to all people with disabilities in the municipality, regardless of whether they are part of the association.

The agreement establishes three fundamental pillars to improve the quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The first axis focuses on family support, offering guidance, training, and accompaniment. The second pillar develops direct initiatives for people with disabilities, promoting independent living, personal development, inclusive leisure, and social participation. Finally, the third axis is articulated through the Early Care Center, which will provide specialized treatments such as physiotherapy, psychomotor skills, stimulation, and communication support.
The municipal funding of 60,000 euros will co-finance these programs, and monitoring and coordination mechanisms will be implemented between the City Council and AMI-3 to ensure the correct execution of activities and evaluate their results. This agreement guarantees that specialized support and care services remain available to all people with disabilities in the municipality, regardless of their affiliation with the association.
