The City Council of San Sebastián de los Reyes has approved the contract for the comprehensive renovation of the Pablo Iglesias Sociocultural Center, with an investment of 3.48 million euros and an execution period of 18 months.

The municipal intervention aims to transform the building, prioritizing energy efficiency, universal accessibility, and the renewal of its main structures and facilities. The goal is to position the center as a prominent cultural infrastructure within the Community of Madrid.
Energy efficiency improvements will include the installation of photovoltaic panels for self-consumption and the complete replacement of carpentry with high-insulation systems. Additionally, the air conditioning system will be renovated to optimize the building's thermal conditions.
Regarding accessibility, the project includes the installation of a new elevator. The renovation will also cover the building's facade and roof, ensuring a complete overhaul of both exterior elements and usability conditions.

The investment of 3,488,258.76 euros will be co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

This project is part of Spain's Pluriregional Program 2021-2027 and the Local Integrated Development Strategy (EDIL Plan).
