The Civil Guard has arrested a man in the Community of Madrid and Toledo for the alleged illicit possession of nearly twenty firearms and ammunition.

Civil Guard agents have arrested an individual accused of illegally possessing nearly twenty firearms and ammunition. These weapons were hidden both on a farm in the Madrid town of Colmenar Viejo and in a home in the municipality of Mora, province of Toledo.
The investigations began after the arrest of another man in Colmenar Viejo last February. This individual was suspected of modifying blank-firing weapons to fire real ammunition and subsequently selling them online.
During the operation, the Civil Guard seized various handguns, such as pistols and revolvers, possibly of 9×19 caliber, as well as high-caliber rifles (30.06) and 12-gauge tactical shotguns. As the investigation progressed, another man was identified who allegedly purchased firearms, deactivated weapons, and essential components.
During the searches, eight handguns, six long guns, and a pistol along with three air rifles were confiscated. Components for modifying or assembling firearms, various cartridges, and ammunition were also found, in addition to four bladed weapons and an extendable baton.

The detainee was handed over to judicial authorities, accused of crimes related to the illicit possession, deposit, and trafficking of firearms and ammunition.
