This new industrial hub, set to launch this year, seeks to consolidate business growth in one of the most dynamic areas of the northern region. It will offer specialized services to companies, including a single point of contact, tailored training programs, and the establishment of collaboration networks with universities and research centers.
“"This new instrument will be developed in collaboration with the involved municipalities and will facilitate access to incentives such as tax breaks, internationalization support, and technology transfer."
The primary goal of this initiative is to foster business innovation and enhance the competitiveness of companies linked to these strategic sectors. The aim is to create an environment that facilitates the exchange of knowledge and resources, thereby attracting new investments and strengthening existing businesses.
The North industrial district will be located in one of the region's most active economic corridors, centered around the A-1 highway. This area already hosts advanced industries, business centers, and technology parks. The Community of Madrid highlights the importance of sectors such as audiovisual, with over 3,500 companies; data centers, with 35 operational and 14 under construction; and the aerospace industry, which accounts for 90% of national activity, with a strong presence in Tres Cantos.
To support the development of this district, significant improvements in transport infrastructure are planned. These include the expansion of the third lane of the M-607 between Tres Cantos and Colmenar Viejo, an investment of approximately 31 million euros. The expansion of the Metro network is also anticipated, aiming to improve connectivity between these municipalities and the rest of the region, solidifying northern Madrid as a benchmark for investment and business development.
