Cristina Boscá, known for her work in Spanish music radio and her participation in the program Anda Ya on Los 40, will perform in the Plaza de la Constitución. Her performance will serve as a prelude to the opening speech that will officially commence the celebrations of the Santísimo Cristo de los Remedios.
The event is scheduled for Monday, August 24th, starting at 8:30 PM, marking the festive start of the year. Boscá takes over from other communicators and radio hosts who have held this role in previous editions, continuing the tradition of inviting media personalities to inaugurate the patron saint festivals.
Boscá's selection follows the City Council's approach of featuring radio personalities to commence the festivities. In past years, figures such as El Pulpo, Fernandisco, and Dani Moreno ('El Gallo') were responsible for entertaining the plaza before the opening speech.
The host's performance is part of the musical program for the Fiestas del Santísimo Cristo de los Remedios, which will include a week of free concerts featuring national and international tours in various city venues. Boscá's appearance in the Plaza de la Constitución will launch a program combining musical and cultural activities.
