Following its successful reception last year, the Colmenar Viejo City Council has confirmed the relaunch of 'The Mayor in Your Park'. This proposal aims to facilitate an open and direct dialogue between citizens and the mayor, where they can express their suggestions, complaints, and concerns about the locality.
The process is straightforward: residents simply need to attend the designated park at the specified date and time to walk and converse with the mayor, without requiring prior appointments, forms, or bureaucratic procedures.
Three meetings have been scheduled throughout May. These gatherings will take place on Wednesdays, May 6, 20, and 27, starting at 7:00 PM and lasting approximately an hour and a half. Participation is free and open to all residents.
The specific locations are El Olivar Park (on Federico García Lorca street), Alto Eugenio Park (on Remedios Avenue, in the area known as 'tubos de colores'), and El Mirador Park (on Padre Claret street).
“"We want to continue bringing the work of the Government Team closer to every corner of Colmenar Viejo, and this initiative allows us to talk face-to-face with residents, walk together through our parks and green areas, and listen firsthand to their concerns, complaints, and improvement proposals."
The mayor has emphasized the importance of maintaining regular visits to the neighborhoods, reaffirming his commitment to building a better municipality through citizen participation.
