The Colmenar Viejo City Council has unveiled its 2026 summer sports campus and course program, an initiative set to run between June and September at various municipal facilities.

The offerings are aimed at children and young people, seeking to facilitate family reconciliation during school holidays. The Sports Department, in collaboration with local clubs, has designed a program that includes sports activities adapted for different age groups.
Available options include weekly camps and intensive courses in disciplines such as athletics, football, handball, gymnastics, tennis, and martial arts. Additionally, complementary services like extended hours, dining, or breakfast are offered in several cases, for greater family convenience.
The sports camps will primarily take place between June 22 and the end of July, with some proposals extending into August. Activities will be held at key municipal facilities such as the Martín Colmenarejo Municipal Sports Center, the Juan Antonio Samaranch Sports City, and the Lorenzo Rico Sports Complex.
The program also features proposals from local clubs such as the Colmenar Viejo Sports Association for football, the Kairos rhythmic gymnastics club, and the Mistral Samaranch sports campus. Aquatic facilities will play a prominent role, with activities at the Municipal Summer Pool and specific programs at the Santa Teresa indoor pool.
For young people and adults, intensive summer courses have been organized, including tennis programs from the ProTenis Sports Club and the Tennis Sports Association, as well as martial arts and self-defense activities from the Bushido Club and Wutan proposals for adults. These courses, with limited places, will take place in municipal facilities.

"The program is designed to facilitate family organization during the summer and offer active leisure alternatives, allowing participants to enjoy, learn, and stay active in a sports environment."
