The Colmenar Viejo City Council has announced the opening of the application period for five positions within its Local Police force, a process that will begin on April 29th and last for twenty calendar days.

This call for applications, part of the 2023 public employment offer, will be managed through a merit-based competitive examination system for open enrollment. The positions fall under the Special Administration Scale, Special Services Subscale, Local Police class, within group C, subgroup C1.
Of the five available vacancies, one is specifically reserved for professional military personnel from the Troop and Seamanship who can prove more than five years of service and meet the required access criteria. Should this position not be filled by candidates from this group, it will be added to the open enrollment, joining the other vacancies.
The council is also considering the possibility of increasing the number of positions if new vacancies arise before the start of the selective training course, which would allow the offer to be adjusted to service needs.
Those interested in participating in this selection process must meet a series of conditions, including Spanish nationality, being at least 18 years old, holding a minimum qualification of Bachillerato or equivalent, and possessing the physical and psychological aptitude for the role. Additionally, applicants must not have been dismissed from public administration, have no criminal record, hold a class B driving license, commit to carrying weapons in accordance with regulations, and provide a negative certification of sexual offenses.
The deadline for submitting applications runs from April 29th to May 27th. Applications can be submitted at the municipal registries of Colmenar Viejo, through the City Council's electronic headquarters, or at other authorized registries. The complete terms of the call are available on the municipal website, the electronic headquarters, and the Council's bulletin board.
