The Venezuelan Association of Alcobendas (AVA) is set to officially launch this Friday at the Valdelasfuentes Sports City, aiming to enrich the municipality's social fabric and foster cultural integration between the Hispano-Venezuelan community and local residents.

The establishment of the Venezuelan Association of Alcobendas (AVA) marks a significant development in the city's associative life. Its primary goal is to create a multicultural meeting point, strengthening ties between the Hispano-Venezuelan community and other residents of Alcobendas. The initiative seeks to boost citizen participation and develop projects that facilitate effective integration into the daily life of the municipality.
The presentation event will take place on April 17, starting at 6:00 PM, at the Valdelasfuentes facilities. More than just a formality, this day is a declaration of intent by AVA, which aims to build bridges and promote coexistence, encouraging cultural exchange and shared experiences among residents.

The association has decided to kick off its journey with an event of great emotional and social significance: a meeting with the creators of the documentary film “Oscar: This is my story.

A key highlight of the inaugural day will be the screening of selected excerpts and testimonies from the documentary Oscar: This is my story. This film explores the life and legacy of Óscar Pérez, a significant figure for the Venezuelan diaspora and for those who advocate for human rights. Following the screening, there will be a discussion session with the director and producers, offering attendees the chance to delve deeper into this social reality from a human perspective.
The Venezuelan Association of Alcobendas not only looks to the past or the situation in its country of origin but also focuses on the present and future of its members in Spain. Among its main objectives is the promotion of cultural and integration activities, providing support and guidance to those settling in the municipality.
The event is scheduled for this Friday, April 17, at Valdelasfuentes Sports City, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Admission is free until capacity is reached, with a diverse attendance expected, including Venezuelan families and Alcobendas residents interested in learning about the association's work and the documentary's content.
