With the arrival of spring, "Patrulla Peque Parques" has become one of the most anticipated proposals for families in Alcobendas. This program aims to transform the municipality's parks and gardens into meeting points for community coexistence, promoting active, creative, and screen-free leisure for children aged between 0 and 12 years.
One of the main novelties of this edition is the inclusion of specific areas for babies aged 0 to 3 years, responding to the demand from young parents seeking inclusive leisure options. Additionally, a permanent creative painting workshop has been incorporated, designed to foster fine motor skills and artistic expression in a natural environment.
The program is designed so that each weekend is a different experience. It is not simply a play area, but a planned itinerary that covers different districts of the city.
The activity calendar, extending until June, began on April 12 at Parque el Océano with the theme "Games of the World". Subsequently, on April 19, it will move to Parque Víctimas del Terrorismo, coinciding with Book Day, and on April 26 to Parque el Hormiguero with "Traditional Games".
Throughout May, "Patrulla Peque Parques" will visit Parque Barco de Aventuras on the 10th with the theme of "San Isidro", Parque de la Comunidad de Madrid on the 24th with "Games on Wheels", and Parque de la Moraleja on the 31st with "Journey to Space". The program will conclude in June with the "Water Party" on the 7th at Parque de Asturias y Cantabria, and the "Foam Party" on the 14th at Parque de Cataluña.
All activities are free and supported by specialized monitors, removing economic barriers and allowing all families in Alcobendas access to quality cultural and recreational offerings. The program promotes values such as environmental respect, teamwork, and care for urban furniture, while adults have the opportunity to socialize.
