The Alcobendas City Council has opened the application period for grants aimed at social projects in 2026, with the goal of supporting entities working in areas such as health, social inclusion, senior citizens, and equality.

This call aims to strengthen the local associative fabric by funding programs that assist vulnerable groups and promote citizen participation in the municipality. Applications can be submitted until May 6, although some specific lines have an earlier deadline.
Three main lines of aid have been established. The first, “Health and Animal Welfare,” includes projects for people with specific pathologies, prevention initiatives, self-care, and mental health awareness, as well as family support programs like respite care. Actions for animal protection, adoption campaigns, and awareness are also funded.
The second line, “Senior Citizens and Social Protection,” focuses on promoting active participation, coexistence, and improving the quality of life for senior citizens. In the area of social protection, grants will support projects for people with disabilities, centered on rehabilitation, psychosocial support, integration, and personal autonomy.
Finally, the “Family and Equality Promotion” line covers programs supporting maternity, positive parenting, and work-life balance. It also includes actions to promote equal opportunities, prevent gender violence, integrate migrants, and combat discrimination and hate crimes against the LGTBI community.
Applications must be submitted through the electronic headquarters of the Alcobendas City Council, where the terms and necessary documentation are also available. The general deadline is May 6, while for the Family and Equality Promotion line, the deadline is May 5.
