A cable theft on the railway infrastructure between Meco and Alcalá de Henares caused significant delays and service disruptions on Cercanías Madrid lines C-2 and C-8 this Wednesday.

The incident, which affected signaling on the Henares Corridor section, began early in the morning, with Renfe issuing warnings at 6:02 AM about potential delays, stops, and route changes for trains in both directions.
Adif technicians worked throughout the morning to resolve the situation, successfully restoring service by 11:52 AM. From that point, trains gradually began to resume their regular frequencies.

"With the cable theft incident resolved, trains will progressively recover their usual frequencies."
