The Community of Madrid has promoted the labor market reintegration of minors serving judicial measures, formalizing 471 new contracts in 2025. This figure represents an increase of 2.4% compared to the previous year.
The Governing Council recently approved an investment of 6 million euros for the operation of various day centers during the years 2027 and 2028. These funds are allocated to the Agency for the Re-education and Reintegration of Juvenile Offenders (ARRMI), under the Ministry of Presidency, Justice, and Local Administration.
In these centers, multidisciplinary teams composed of coordinators, psychologists, educators, and intervention technicians supervise compliance with measures imposed by judges. They offer individualized attention to foster the personal, educational, and social development of the young people.
Last year, the ARRMI assisted 2,997 juvenile offenders. Of these, 84% were serving measures in an open environment, meaning without deprivation of liberty, in one of the ten designated day centers.
The Community of Madrid implements a dozen specialized educational programs to facilitate the reintegration of these young people into society. Thanks to these initiatives, the ARRMI has achieved that 90% of the young people who pass through its facilities do not re-offend.
