The Vice-Minister of Health of the Community of Madrid, Laura Gutiérrez, participated today in Valdemorillo in the awards ceremony of the IV edition of the Children without Cancer race, organized by the Óscar Contigo Foundation. During the event, she emphasized the regional government's "firm commitment" to oncological research, health innovation, and comprehensive care that supports patients and their families throughout the entire treatment process.
Gutiérrez acknowledged the "extraordinary work" of the Foundation, highlighting how they have transformed a difficult personal experience into an impetus for research and other innovative initiatives aimed at improving the lives of children with cancer and their families.
She also recalled that Madrid's public healthcare system is a national benchmark in the field of Pediatric Oncology. "We treat some of the most complex cases in the country and lead pioneering projects to continue improving the opportunities and quality of life for children facing these diseases," she stated.
