The Community of Madrid has advocated for an independent, accessible, and better-resourced Justice system as a guarantee of freedoms and democratic strength.

The Minister of Presidency, Justice, and Local Administration of the Community of Madrid, Miguel Ángel García Martín, highlighted the importance of preserving solid institutions capable of protecting citizens' rights and responding to current societal challenges. García Martín made these remarks during the inauguration of the Ibero-American Hispanidad Forum: Hispanic Legal Tradition, held at the Senate of Spain, as part of Hispanidad 2026.
The minister contrasted two models of supporting the Judiciary: that of the regional government, focused on providing more and better resources to judges, prosecutors, and legal professionals, versus that of President Sánchez, whom he accused of "undermining the Judiciary and attacking judges" throughout the legislature.
He also pointed out the regional executive's historic investment in this area, allocating 830 million euros and carrying out actions in 90% of judicial bodies.
