The Community of Madrid will allocate 30.8 million euros to the acquisition of furniture for the region's non-university public educational centers. The Governing Council has authorized the framework agreement that will equip classrooms, libraries, laboratories, and other teaching spaces.

The framework agreement, with an initial duration of two years, extendable for another two, aims to provide new equipment for Primary and Secondary classrooms, as well as libraries, laboratories, canteens, and other teaching areas.
To facilitate procurement, the contract has been divided into ten lots, allowing each center to acquire the specific furniture it needs, including items for specialized classrooms, offices, and common areas.
The investment covers both the incorporation of new items and the replacement of furniture that is deteriorated or at the end of its useful life, ensuring similar functionality and characteristics to the replaced elements.
The quantity of material planned has been calculated based on enrollment needs and plans for the construction or expansion of centers. The Regional Ministry of Education, Science, and Universities has used market prices, including transport and packaging costs, as a reference to determine the total investment.
