The Community of Madrid has authorized an agreement with the Association for Integral Development (ADI) of Sierra Oeste to allocate 1.5 million euros to the tourism promotion of the area, severely affected by last summer's fire.

The main objective of this initiative is to attract visitors and contribute to the recovery of local businesses and the economic activity of the region. The agreement, signed by the Ministry of Presidency, Justice and Local Administration, through the General Directorate of Territorial Rebalancing, includes five key actions.
Among the planned actions is the organization of a cultural festival in one or more towns in the Sierra Oeste. Likewise, a special events program will be developed, including sports, cultural, gastronomic, leisure, and nature activities in various municipalities of the area.
Furthermore, meetings with tourism sector professionals will be organized, and training proposals will be offered to entrepreneurs and other local agents. These participants will also collaborate in the implementation of guided tours, routes, and free tourist actions.
Finally, the agreement includes the carrying out of a study for the installation of tourist infrastructure in the surroundings of the San Juan reservoir, one of the natural spaces most affected by the fire.
