The JAZZMADRID 2026 festival, organized by the Madrid City Council's Culture Area, will feature an intense musical program from late October to early November, bringing together artists from around the world and local talents.

The event kicks off today, Friday, October 30th, with Swedish guitarist Ulf Wakenius and his Organ Trio at the Café Central Ateneo. That same night, the Jazz Fuel! session, led by Roberto Tempo, will explore connections between jazz and dance rhythms. Another highlight of the day will be the performance by acclaimed American singer Lizz Wright at the Teatro Albéniz, as part of the Villanos del Jazz series, presenting her work Nearness.
On October 31st, Italian pianist Antonio Faraò will return with his trio, known for its rhythmic intensity and technical brilliance. The same night, audiences can discover the unique proposal of Minino Bravo with their project Gatos Ilustres, blending jazz, funk, and Latin music. The spirit of classic swing will be revived by The Sentimental Gentlemen in a special Halloween edition of Fiebre Swing.
November will bring artists redefining 21st-century jazz, such as British artist Alfa Mist, who integrates jazz, hip hop, and soul. Also featured will be Cameroonian bassist Richard Bona, connecting African traditions with jazz, and drummer Mark Guiliana, exploring electronics and sound experimentation. The lineup also includes voices like Julieta Rada, Jessie Gordon, the Gustavo Díaz Quartet, Shrizz N' Maze feat de Greg Boyer, and Tom Ribeira.
The final stretch will feature two essential names in modern drumming: Nate Smith, influential for his technical skill and compositional sensitivity, and Mark Guiliana's Beat Music project, exploring the territories where jazz, electronics, and digital culture meet. The festival will be complemented by parallel activities such as the encounter “El jazz en Latinoamérica” and the Tempo Futuro initiative focusing on new directions in the genre.
