The Community of Madrid will expand the number of financial entities participating in the Mi Primera Vivienda program from nine to twelve, aimed at facilitating property acquisition for young people and families.

Bankinter, Cajamar, and Unión de Créditos Inmobiliarios will join CaixaBank, Banco Santander, Ibercaja, ING, Unicaja, Kutxabank, ABANCA, Banco Sabadell, and Eurocaja Rural. The initiative has a budget of 25 million euros for 2026 and targets solvent individuals lacking sufficient savings for homeownership. According to established requirements, financing can reach 100% for those under 40, 95% for the 40-45 age group, and 90% for those between 45 and 50.
The regulations set the general age limit at 50 years, but allow families with minor children, as well as large and single-parent families, to qualify without this restriction. The maximum acquisition price for the property is set at 425,000 euros.
Furthermore, the regional government plans to construct 2,500 affordable rental homes for young people under 35 through the Plan Vive Solución Joven and another 600 for vulnerable groups, managed by the Housing Agency (AVS). The Plan Vive will include a reservation for members of the State Security Forces and Corps. Additionally, at least 120 of the 1,000 planned apartments in San Sebastián de los Reyes, near the Infanta Sofía University Hospital, will be allocated to healthcare professionals.
Aid will also be provided for the installation of elevators in residential buildings, with a budget of 50 million euros. This line is part of the Rehabilitar Madrid plan, whose global budget amounts to 450 million and includes interventions for accessibility, energy efficiency, and the conservation of properties and neighborhoods.
Lastly, a regional map of unused or vacant properties is planned to identify them and guide actions aimed at incorporating them into the rental market.
