Two men were seriously injured in two separate hit-and-run incidents in Madrid during the early hours of Monday. One incident occurred on Avenida de la Ciudad de Barcelona, and the other on Calle de Alcalá, where the driver involved fled the scene.

The first incident took place on Avenida de la Ciudad de Barcelona, in the Retiro district. A 25-year-old man suffered a severe head trauma after being hit by a car while, apparently, crossing the street outside a designated area. SAMUR-Civil Protection paramedics attended to the victim, who also had a possible pelvic fracture, and he was transported in serious condition to Gregorio Marañón Hospital. The driver of the vehicle received psychological support for severe anxiety.
Hours later, on Calle de Alcalá, a 60-year-old man riding an electric scooter was struck by a car. After the collision, the car's driver fled the scene without assisting the injured.
SAMUR-Civil Protection personnel stabilized and urgently evacuated the injured man. The Madrid Municipal Police have launched an investigation to clarify the causes of both accidents and to locate the driver who fled the scene of the Calle de Alcalá incident.
