The Spanish national football team will land at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport this Monday, around 12:50 PM, following their victory in the 2026 World Cup final held in New Jersey. The team, managed by Luis de la Fuente, brings home the second star in Spanish football history, conquered just 24 hours prior after defeating Argentina at the MetLife Stadium.
Upon arrival, the delegation will proceed to the Palacio de la Zarzuela to be received by the Royal Family, who also watched the match from the United States. Subsequently, the team will visit La Moncloa for a reception with Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, who also attended the game.
After completing the protocolary events, the world champions will board an open-top bus to tour the main avenues of Madrid. The final destination will be Plaza de Cibeles, which is expected to be the epicenter of the national celebration. The procession is scheduled to arrive at the stage set up next to the Palacio de Comunicaciones around 9:00 PM.
From 6:00 PM onwards, Plaza de Cibeles will host a program of music, entertainment, and shows designed for fans. The event will feature performances by prominent DJs and renowned artists, marking the first official celebration of the second world star.
