The PSOE in Madrid has begun the endorsement collection phase this Saturday for its internal primary processes, following the conclusion of the deadline for submitting pre-candidacies.

The internal electoral process, which will conclude with the vote on July 19, will define the candidates for both the Madrid City Council and the Community of Madrid. At the municipal level, the contest focuses on two profiles from the socialist group, while at the regional level, two options are running following a last-minute pre-candidacy submission.
Internal regulations state that the collection of support will end on July 11. If the pre-candidates reach the required minimum threshold of endorsements, an information campaign period will open between July 12 and July 18. Given that only two pre-candidates have registered in each of the two electoral races, the vote will be held in a single round.
The development of this process has generated media and political attention, especially following the movements recorded in recent days at the socialist headquarters. The primary calendar has been the central axis of the party's activity in the region this week.
