The Community of Madrid has opened applications for the Extraordinary Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) Awards for the 2025/26 academic year, aimed at students with an average grade of 8.75 or higher.

Students meeting the criteria have until June 30 to register for the examination, which will take place on July 22. Applications can be submitted through the official website of the Community of Madrid.
This initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Universities, seeks to recognize students with outstanding academic records. To be eligible for these awards, in addition to the minimum average grade of 8.75, a score of 9 or 10 is required in the four subjects assessed in the test.
A total of 25 awards will be granted, each with a prize of 2,000 euros. The exams will evaluate theoretical and practical knowledge in Spanish Language and Literature, Geography and History, Mathematics, and the Foreign Language studied, all related to the curriculum of the stage.
The Community of Madrid extends these recognitions to other educational stages such as Primary Education, Baccalaureate, and Higher Vocational Training. This year, for the first time, Basic and Intermediate Vocational Training cycles are also included, broadening the program's scope to value the perseverance and effort of Madrid's students.
