The protest, called by the #J2 Movement, brought together lawyers, solicitors, architects, engineers, and other professionals who demand that each year contributed to the mutualist system be considered a full year under the public Social Security regime.
The march started from the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security, and Migration, on José Abascal street, and concluded before the Congress of Deputies, traversing the capital's center to highlight their demands.
Participants displayed a banner with the slogan '1x1 Transition for all. Government, fulfill your promise' and chanted slogans like 'Year paid, year contributed,' pressuring for the bill currently in parliamentary processing to incorporate their fundamental requests.
The Madrid Bar Association (ICAM) exceptionally provided robes to its members so they could participate in the mobilization, thereby enhancing the protest's visibility.
The #J2 Movement criticizes that the current proposal 'does not satisfactorily resolve' the situation for thousands of professionals and contains elements they describe as 'partial, insufficient, and discriminatory'.
Mutualists denounce the lack of real progress and accuse the Government and the PSOE of maintaining an unyielding stance, rejecting modifications that could correct substantial inequalities in the regulatory text.
