This outreach initiative will bring to the public some of the most relevant current scientific research and advancements, presented by distinguished researchers. The talks will cover topics such as the evolution of the universe, robotics applied to agriculture, quantum technologies, immunology and vaccines, the role of women in the history of science, the impact of artificial intelligence, the preservation of knowledge, critical metals in technology, and the challenges of climate change.
The program focuses on the main scientific, technological, and social challenges of the 21st century, including emerging technologies, environmental sustainability, global health, equality in science, and knowledge preservation. The thematic diversity and the prestige of its speakers offer a unique opportunity to bring cutting-edge research to all audiences.
The series will kick off on October 4, 2026, with the conference “The Butterfly Effect in the Universe: from the Moon to the Big Bang”, delivered by Pablo G. Pérez-González, Scientific Researcher at the Center for Astrobiology (CAB/CSIC-INTA). The talk will explore the butterfly effect in Astrophysics, focusing on the formation of the Moon and the Universe.
The conferences will be held in person at the Ángeles Alvariño hall of MUNCYT Alcobendas and can also be followed online by requesting the link via email at reservasmad@muncyt.es. Access to all sessions will be free until full capacity.
