The Community of Madrid has announced the temporary closure of several sections of Metro lines 6, 7, and 9B during the summer for improvement works, affecting thousands of users.

Line 9B will be the first to experience disruptions, with service suspended between Arganda del Rey and Rivas Vaciamadrid from July 25 to August 13. During this period, infrastructure renovation work will be carried out to enhance service safety and reliability. A free replacement bus service will be provided.
Starting August 1, Moncloa station will close, affecting line 6 between Argüelles and Ciudad Universitaria until September 2. The works will focus on track renewal and platform reinforcement for the future installation of automatic platform doors.
Line 7 will also have its service affected, remaining disconnected between Gregorio Marañón and Pitis from August 2 to 28, inclusive. The work includes renewing the signaling system and replacing the track, as part of a comprehensive modernization project.
Ongoing works on line 10 continue, with the section between Nuevos Ministerios and Plaza de Castilla closed until August 21 due to the comprehensive renovation of the Santiago Bernabéu station. Cuzco station will remain closed until the end of August.
In all cases, the Community of Madrid will implement free buses to cover the affected routes and minimize disruptions for users during the summer period.
