Manzanares El Real Celebrates its Magic Days with Illusionism for All Audiences

The municipality will host a weekend of shows, workshops, and magic competitions from May 29th to 31st.

The municipality of Manzanares El Real is preparing to host its anticipated Magic Days from May 29th to 31st, offering a varied program of illusionism activities for all ages.

The Madrid municipality will transform from Friday, May 29th, to Sunday, May 31st, to celebrate one of its most anticipated cultural events of the year. Streets and municipal spaces will be filled with proposals combining mystery, skill, and entertainment, designed to surprise residents of all ages.
Activities will commence on Friday, May 29th, in the afternoon at the Plaza del Pueblo. Between 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM, the Círculo de Ilusionistas de la Sierra de Madrid (CISMAD) will present a dynamic program featuring six independent 15-minute mini-shows. This association, gathering amateur and professional magicians from the region, will showcase various artistic disciplines such as card magic, mentalism, balloon modeling, and ventriloquism.
Saturday, May 30th, will be dedicated to training, challenges, and competitions. In the morning, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, the Municipal Library Concha Méndez will host an educational workshop led by CISMAD magicians, aimed at youngsters aged 8 to 12. Interested participants must register in advance at the Espacio Cultural Panaderos or via the provided web link.
At midday, the Plaza del Pueblo will host a card-throwing contest starting at 1:00 PM, an open challenge for the general public. In the afternoon, outside the Sala El Rodaje (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM), the activity «El reto mágico» will take place, where attendees can challenge an illusionist to a game of Connect Four while the magician is blindfolded.
The highlight of Saturday will be the show «Magia en juego» at 8:00 PM in the Sala El Rodaje. Illusionist Javi Rufo, a resident of Manzanares El Real and a recipient of world and European awards, will present his interactive show for adults and those over 12 years old. The repertoire will adapt to audience choices, blending mentalism, humor, and personal reflections. Tickets cost 5 euros and can be purchased in advance at youevent.es.
The cultural event will conclude on Sunday, May 31st, at 12:30 PM in the Plaza del Pueblo with the free street performance «La magia de un trotamundos» (The Magic of a Globetrotter), presented by artist David Navares. Designed for family enjoyment, the show will combine classic illusionism techniques with a narrative adapted for the urban setting.
