The Community of Madrid has approved the tender for a new two-year framework agreement, extendable for another two, with an investment of 6.5 million euros, to optimize quality control in projects and works at its educational centers.

The Governing Council of the Community of Madrid authorized this Wednesday the launch of this contract, which seeks to simplify procurement processes and accelerate the start of work on school infrastructures in the region.
As explained by Miguel Ángel García Martín, spokesperson for the regional Executive, this system will establish guidelines for the supervision of basic and execution projects, as well as works and buildings dependent on the Ministry of Education, Science and Universities.
The framework agreement will also define the procedure for awarding derived contracts, allowing the Community to pre-select the companies that will provide quality control services for each intervention.
This model, according to the regional Government, will enable quality control to be carried out simultaneously with the execution of the works, resulting in a more agile response to the needs of the centers and a more rigorous technical monitoring of the work.
Supervision will cover various aspects, including the conformity of materials and work units with technical specifications, the quality of execution of facades, urbanization and finishes, and the energy efficiency certification of the facilities.
