Deputy Mayor Inma Sanz has assured that the arrangements for receiving the Pontiff are meticulously planned. The screens will be strategically placed along an axis extending from Cibeles to the main arteries of the city center, areas expected to draw the largest crowds.
“"Everything has been perfectly studied."
Sanz acknowledged the significant logistical deployment this visit will entail. The City Council estimates the arrival of hundreds of thousands of people for the various scheduled events, although the final itinerary has not yet been fully confirmed.
The Pope himself had previously announced his presence in Cibeles in a message addressed to attendees of the Resurrection Festival held last Saturday in Madrid. The City Council has stated that various organizational scenarios have been analyzed to ensure that all events proceed without incident.
