“"I know that Deputy Mayor Inma Sanz is preparing a deployment. I know that we are accustomed to managing these types of celebrations in the city of Madrid, and therefore, there will be a Municipal Police and Samur deployment, both on Saturday at the Metropolitano and at the Fuente de Neptuno, while at the Metropolitano, it will be possible to watch on screens in the stadium in the eventual case that the Copa del Rey is won, as well as the following day throughout the route that Atlético de Madrid will take."

The Madrid City Council has outlined a security plan that will deploy between 150 and 200 Municipal Police officers, along with Samur units, to manage celebrations if Atlético de Madrid wins the Copa del Rey this Saturday.
Madrid's mayor, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, confirmed that the operation is underway, though he refrained from detailing specifics due to personal superstition as a 'colchonero' (Atlético fan). Deputy Mayor Inma Sanz is responsible for coordinating this security effort.
The plan includes the presence of Municipal Police and Samur both on Saturday, around the Metropolitano Stadium and Neptune Fountain, and on Sunday, to accompany the team's potential victory parade through the city. At the Metropolitano, fans will be able to watch the match on giant screens if Atlético secures the trophy.
In addition to the Municipal Police officers, the operation will involve three Samur units on Saturday and seven on Sunday, should the victory occur. Authorities assure that the city is prepared to handle such large-scale events.
