The Community of Madrid presents a free exhibition at the Real Casa de Correos until April 24, commemorating one hundred years of the most outstanding achievements in Spanish aviation history.

The exhibition Centenary of the Great Flights of Spanish Aviation, open to the public at the Real Casa de Correos, headquarters of the regional government, offers a journey through the most emblematic moments of national aeronautics. This traveling exhibition was inaugurated by the Minister of Environment, Agriculture and Interior, Carlos Novillo.
Among the highlighted milestones is the historic flight of the Plus Ultra, which in 2026 will mark its centenary. This feat represented the first crossing of the South Atlantic, connecting Spain with South America in a single aircraft, a significant achievement that boosted the development of air communications.
The exhibition also recalls other crucial events from 1926, such as the journey of the Elcano Squadron between Madrid and Manila. Furthermore, it emphasizes the work of the Atlantis Patrol in opening new routes to Guinea, highlighting its contribution to Spain's international projection and the advancement of air connections.
