The Minister of Housing, Transport, and Infrastructure of the Community of Madrid, Jorge Rodrigo, participated in the commencement of works for the Los Cerros urban development, located in the southeast of the capital. Rodrigo emphasized that this project is poised to become one of the foremost residential developments in Europe.
This new urban environment is planned to accommodate a total of over 16,300 homes, with more than half designated as subsidized housing, thereby aiming to facilitate access to a home.

The minister highlighted the Regional Government's commitment to public-private collaboration as an essential tool for increasing the housing stock and meeting growing demand. In this regard, he recalled that the regional Executive plans to promote over 70,000 homes during the current legislative term, with more than 17,000 allocated to affordable rental programs.
