The operation, which began in August 2025 after detecting criminal activities through an encrypted messaging platform, has led to the dismantling of a high-level international network specializing in the introduction of hashish and marijuana. The drugs were transported from the Spanish coasts to Madrid, where they were stored in rented apartments, known as 'guarderías' (drug dens), for subsequent distribution nationally and internationally.
Investigators discovered that the organization used a storage unit in the Las Tablas neighborhood, in Madrid, as a key point for classifying and preparing drug shipments. Subsequently, another member of the network would collect the packaged hashish for transport to clients.
The final phase of the operation focused on a 'drug den' located in a housing development in El Cañaveral, in Vicálvaro (Madrid), where over 2,100 kilos of hashish were seized. Agents arrested those responsible for the custody and maintenance of this distribution point.
Between August 2025 and July 2026, 20 entries and searches were carried out in Madrid (15), Guadalajara (2), Málaga (2), and Valencia (1). The total seized amounts to 8,500 kilos of hashish, over 1,100 kilos of marijuana, 47 bottles of gasoline, 19 vehicles, 12 luxury watches, 50,800 euros, and a firearm.
A total of 57 individuals have been arrested in various provinces, including Madrid (45), Guadalajara (2), Burgos (1), Almería (1), Málaga (2), and Valencia (5). They are charged with crimes of belonging to a criminal organization, drug trafficking, money laundering, document forgery, and illicit deposit of ammunition. The judicial authority has ordered imprisonment for 18 of the detainees. The investigation remains open, and further arrests and seizures are not ruled out.
